Joseph Nivens

NeverEnding Loop was the title of my MFA thesis exhibition at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. The work reflects the reality that coming out as a queer person is a continuous process—one that can feel isolating and exhausting. Through looping animations, interactive sculptures, and mixed-media installations, I explored cycles of identity and repetition. By combining motion, repetition, and miniature environments, I aimed to both draw in and overwhelm the viewer, mirroring the experience of existing in a world that doesn’t always accommodate difference.
